Training Preachers - Equipping emerging leaders
Grassroots preachers, teachers and Church leaders are trained to deliver Biblically faithful yet culturally relevant preaching that will help new believers grow in their faith.
Through Langham Preaching, we partner with national leaders to nurture indigenous biblical preaching movements for pastors and lay preachers. With the support of an international team of trainers, multi-level seminars focusing on practical, biblically based training is provided, and then followed up by local preaching facilitators. The formation of ground-level preachers’ groups and national and regional networks ensure continuity and ongoing development, seeking to build vigorous movements committed to Bible exposition.
Preachers are trained via Langham Partnership NZ.
An ongoing and substantial contribution from New Zealand to the strategic direction and content of the training of preachers is made through the ministry of Paul Windsor, International Director of Langham Preaching. Paul and his wife Barby currently live in Bangalore, India, where he also teaches homiletics at the South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies (SAIACS). Read Paul’s blogs and listen to sermons from his 2016 visit to New Zealand in the News Room.
In 2009, we decided to replicate what Langham Partnership does well in the Majority World closer to home, and established kiwi-made preaching to help build a heritage for biblical preaching here in Aotearoa-New Zealand. Find out more about the encouragement, exploration and growth that kiwi-made preaching gives to both experienced and emerging preachers, participate in the preaching forum, and read their blogs.
